The Taipei District Prosecutor’s Office interrogated Weiqing Group Chairman Shen Qingjing on the morning of the 11th to clarify the decision-making process of the floor area ratio of Jinghua City. In the afternoon, Taipei City Councilor Ying Xiaowei was questioned as a witness.
Shen Qingjing, the chairman of Weijin Group, played a key role in the case due to his cash flow of 47.4 million yuan with Ying Xiaowei and a note on the key to Ke Wenze’s USB that recorded “2022/11/1 Xiao Shen 1500 “Chen Qingjing” and 1,500 time or amount.
Shen Qingjing has always denied bribery, and prosecutors want to deal with Shen as a tainted witness. Shen’s defense lawyer Yu Fangru said that Shen Qingjing’s health was not bad, but refused to answer about the tainted witness part.
Ying Xiaowei, who had been detained for 12 days, was wearing a gray Beisuo uniform jacket and trousers, but his hands were covered with documents.
Former Taipei City Deputy Mayor Lin Qinrong recently issued a statement about the floor area ratio of Jinghua City, claiming that the Supervisory Yuan revised it first, and then the Metropolitan Development Bureau based on and respected the Supervisory Yuan’s corrective opinion.
Former Deputy Secretary-General Li Dequan said that Jinghua City insisted on passing the volume ceiling according to existing city-wide consistent rules, and that there will be illegality. He also posted on Facebook that “power can be rewarded, but the main thing is its legality, legitimacy, public welfare, fairness, rationality, and integrity.”
