Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced the release of Freedom Wars Remastered, a revamped version of the popular multiplayer capture action game, on PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Steam.

Gameplay and Features
Freedom Wars is a multiplayer capture action game that focuses on the story of the struggle to regain freedom. Players can use various weapons, such as swords and guns, to fight, as well as whip-like equipment called “thorns” to perform actions like climbing, moving, or attacking enemies in three dimensions.
The game features online battles where multiple players work together to defeat powerful enemies, making the game more exciting to play.
Scenario and Storyline
The game is set in a dystopian world where the player plays the role of a criminal sentenced to 1 million years in prison, known as an ”Accessory.” With the support of humanoid robots, the player will challenge various high-risk missions and compete with the enemy camp called “citizens” for their sphere of influence.
Remastered and Transplanted Version
The remastered version of the game features improved graphics, 60fps high-definition performance (30fps on Switch), and exciting action battles and storyline. The original game’s weapon upgrade system and character growth system have been re-optimized and adjusted to provide a more comfortable and enjoyable gaming experience.
The operating surface has also been significantly optimized, improving the shortcomings of the previous PS Vita version and utilizing the multi-button functionality of the current console joystick.
Many DLCs, including the character setting item “Accessory,” will be selected and installed directly into the game for players to use.
