Arrests and Evidence Seizure at Universitas Jenderal Soedirman
According to reporting from ANTARA, the Corruption Eradication Commission detained six suspects following raids at the university’s rectorate and multiple residences in late August 2026. The suspects include Rector Akhmad Sodiq, Vice Rector for Student Affairs Norman Arie Prayogo, and Head of Academic Affairs ES.
Investigators also detained three private individuals identified as Dian Mulia Wardhana, Adhi Wiharto, and MYN, the latter of whom is reported as a nephew of the rector. Acting Director of Investigation Achmad Taufik Husein stated that the agency acted on sufficient evidence regarding alleged corruption in the university’s independent new student admissions process.
The anti-graft agency secured numerous records during the operation, removing roughly 60 physical and electronic evidence items from the rectorate. The six suspects face detention for an initial 20-day period running from August 21 through September 9, 2026, under corruption and criminal code provisions cited by investigators.
