Labeleba’s Take on Love and Marriage
Labeleba, a renowned artist, shared her thoughts on love and marriage in a recent interview with Mona El Shazli on E.
She emphasized that love comes suddenly, without prior planning or thinking, as the popular proverb says: “The heart and what it wants.”
Labeleba explained that marriage, on the other hand, requires careful consideration and planning, including determining dowry, age, and living expenses. She views marriage as “an institution that must succeed; for it creates a family and children.”
The artist shared a personal anecdote about a past love, where she chose to hide her feelings to avoid causing problems in the other person’s life. She said, “I loved one and the other I did not know, and I loved him alone; because if she knew something would have gone wrong in her life because she was married.”
Labeleba expressed her willingness to confess her love, but ultimately decided against it to protect the other person’s life. She said, “I never refused to confess my love, and I spent loving him without knowing him; But I saw him and said to myself, my love; But she doesn’t know, and my heart won’t let anything bad happen to her life.”
A Successful Artistic Career
Throughout her career, Labeleba has had the pleasure of collaborating with Egypt’s leading directors, composers, and writers. Her experiences have undoubtedly contributed to her growth as an artist.
