Oksana Masters Wins Para-Cycling Gold in Paris
Nike athlete Oksana Masters has achieved a remarkable milestone, securing para-cycling gold in the women’s individual time trial and bringing her total Paralympic medals to 18. This outstanding achievement comes just days after she carried the torch in the Paralympics Opening Ceremony, where she went on to claim victory with a time of 23:45.20.
Oksana’s impressive win cements her legacy over seven Paralympic Games, where she has competed and excelled in a range of sports, including para-cross-country skiing, para-biathlon, para-rowing, and now para-cycling. Now, at 35 years old, Oksana has shifted her focus to para-cycling and is set to compete in the women’s H5 road race, where she will undoubtedly be a strong contender for gold.
As a member of Nike’s Athlete Think Tank, Oksana is part of a pioneering initiative that aims to redefine athlete partnerships and amplify women’s voices across all levels of sport.
