On the 26th, actress Kim Ji-eun’s agency HB Entertainment said, “Kim Ji-eun, who is appearing in the tvN drama ‘Mom’s Friend Son’ as paramedic Jeong Mo-eum, donated 50 million won to the Firefighter Family Hope Sharing Foundation on the 23rd to repay the devotion of firefighters who protect the safety and lives of the people.”

The donation made by Kim Ji-eun will be used for the 1st 119 Memorial Day, a memorial event for fallen firefighters and their bereaved families.

Kim Ji-eun said, “Through the drama ‘Mom’s Friend’s Son,’ I personally experienced the hard work and sacrifice of firefighters, and after thinking about how I could express my gratitude and respect in some way, I decided to make a donation,” sharing her decision to practice good deeds.

Kim Ji-eun is receiving favorable reviews for her high level of synchronization with an actual paramedic in tvN’s ‘Mom’s Friend Son’.

Actress Lee Sung-kyung also donated 100 million won to Dankook University Hospital after appearing in the drama ‘Dr. Romantic 3’.

Last January, her agency YG Entertainment revealed, “Lee Sung-kyung donated 100 million won to Dankook University Hospital in December of last year.” The donation will reportedly be used to build and develop the medical system of the Dankook University Hospital Regional Trauma Center, which is in charge of emergency surgery and treatment for severely injured patients in the Chungnam region.

Lee Sung-kyung decided to donate after appearing in the SBS drama ‘Dr. Romantic 3’. In the drama, Lee Sung-kyung left a deep impression with her passionate performance as Cha Eun-jae, a thoracic surgeon specializing in trauma at the regional trauma center of Dol Dam Hospital.

Lee Sung-kyung said, “Through appearing in a medical drama, I became interested in trauma treatment, which is the mainstay of essential medical care, and I wanted to indirectly experience the reality of trauma treatment in our country and contribute even a little to the development of the medical community that strives to save trauma patients.”

Actress Go Min-si, who appeared in the May 18 drama ‘Youth of May’, donated 10 million won to the May 18 Memorial Foundation.

On May 17, 2021, the day before the 41st anniversary of the May 18 Democratization Movement, Go Min-si donated 10 million won to the May 18 Memorial Foundation. He also expressed his gratitude to the citizens who implemented the civic self-government community at the time of May 18.

KBS drama ‘Youth of May’ is a drama set against the backdrop of the May 18 Democratization Movement in 1980. Go Min-si plays the role of Gwangju Peace Hospital emergency room nurse (Kim Myung-hee), and gives a passionate performance of a nurse who struggles to protect her family, lover, and community.

Jeong Dong-nyeon, chairman of the May 18 Memorial Foundation, said, “We will use actor Go Min-si’s sincere donation to uncover the truth, punish those responsible, restore honor, and promote solidarity activities for equality and sharing.”
