NEOM, Saudi Arabia, October 27, 2024 – NEOM’s Board of Directors announced the opening of Sindalah Island, a global destination for luxury marine tourism in the Red Sea. Sindalah is NEOM’s first destination to welcome visitors, signaling the pace of work and progress of NEOM’s projects towards achieving its ambitious global vision.

His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince and Chairman of NEOM’s Board of Directors, announced the development of the island in December 2022, the opening of which today represents an important step to support the Kingdom’s tourism sector.

The opening of Sandals embodies NEOM’s tireless and accelerated efforts to reach 30,000 employees, and NEOM’s participation in collaboration with four local partners and 60 subcontractors in the contracting sector. It also ensures NEOM’s ability to innovate and successfully implement new and unique destinations. To celebrate this achievement, Sindalah Island received its first batch of invited guests to visit.

Sindalah is located in the heart of the clear turquoise waters of the Red Sea, five kilometers off the coast of NEOM in the northwest of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This unique destination covers an area of ​​840,000 square meters, and is considered the gateway to the Red Sea for its ideal location, providing easy and smooth access for yacht and ship owners from Europe, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Saudi Arabia. Gulf Cooperation Council countries, and it is 17 hours away from the most important destinations on the coast.

Sindalah combines state-of-the-art design enhanced by natural beauty, technology and architectural excellence, as it was masterfully designed by Luca Dini, a leading designer of marinas and yachts. It is expected that Sindalah will provide about 3,500 jobs and receive about 2,400 visitors per day by 2028, which will strengthen the growing hospitality and tourism sector in the Kingdom and support economic diversification plans in line with Vision 2030.

A glimpse of what lies ahead is an achievement we are proud of in NEOM’s journey, and we look forward to achieving our more ambitious goals with His Highness’s continued support.”

Sindalah is distinguished by its diverse marine environment, as its waters contain 1,100 species of fish, including 45 unique species, in addition to more than 300 coral reefs, which offer a unique experience to dive and explore the island’s depths. The wonders of marine nature. In line with its commitment to sustainability and nature conservation principles, NEOM strives to preserve the island’s natural elements and marine environment at all stages of development.

Sindalah includes a number of amenities that enhance its luxury tourism experience, including: the improved marina, which includes 86 berths, which will contribute to the launch of a new international sailing season, taking advantage of the island’s strategic location and temperate climate throughout the year. . Although the Sindala Yacht Club, with its distinctive interior design signed by international designer Stefano Ricci, is the marina’s most prominent landmark, as it offers superior services to visitors, yacht owners and marine crew managers and members. Additional mooring and berthing facilities for mega yachts are available on the island, as well as a full range of yacht management services.

The island combines the highest level of international hospitality, fine dining and tailored experiences in one destination. It is characterized by a lively center that includes villages and promenades, which offer different experiences for entertainment and social interaction, through 38 restaurants overseen by international chefs, others dedicated to different cuisines during the day, entertainment centers and 36 stores.
