Saudi Roshen Professional League Association Announces Rules for Month Priority Award
The Saudi Roshen Professional League Association has announced the rules and criteria for selecting the month priority award for the 2024-2025 sports season. The purpose of the award is to create competition between players and coaches, as well as motivate them to perform at their best.
The award aims to increase the tension and excitement in the league competition. Prizes are distributed for months in which the number of rounds is not less than 3. If the matches are postponed, they will be held until they are held if they do not overlap with the next month’s matches.
Selection Criteria
The technical team, represented by 5 experts, will evaluate the candidates based on established criteria and conditions. The technical team consists of Turki al-Sultan, Sultan al-Lahani, Khaled al-Shanif, Manaf Abu Shukair, and Obaidullah al-Isa.
Best Goalkeeper
- Clean sheet (7 points)
- Lowest average number of goals scored (3 points)
- Most Successful Saves (5 points)
- Average overall technical evaluation from the technical team (maximum 10 points)
- Most accurate quality pass (5 points)
In the event of a tie, the tie-breaking criteria are used in the following order: most penalty kick savers, most goal-scoring chances created, least cards received, and finally a draw.
Promising Player or Goalkeeper
(For Saudi players or those born in 2002 or older)
- Number of goals (Forward: 4 points, Midfielder: 5 points, Defender: 7 points)
- Created the most scoring chances (5 points)
- Most accurate quality pass (5 points)
- Average general technical assessment (maximum 10 points)
- Making goals (3 points for each goal)
In the event of a tie, the one with the lowest card is taken, followed by a lottery. Best Goalkeeper criteria apply to goalkeepers nominated for this award.
Best Players
(For Saudi and Non-Saudi players and novices)
- Number of goals (attacker’s goal 4 points, midfielder’s goal 5 points, defender’s goal 7 points)
- Created the most scoring chances (5 points)
- Most accurate quality pass (5 points)
- Average general technical assessment (10 points maximum)
- Making goals (3 points for each goal)
In the event of a tie, the one with the lowest card is taken, followed by a lottery.
Best Coach
- Average overall technical rating (maximum 10 points)
- Match result by stadium (4 points for a win at the opponent’s home ground, 3 points at home, 1 point for a draw at home, 2 points for a draw away from home)
- How many matches he oversaw the team in the month (3 points per match)
In case of a tie, the person who changed the match result the most from the odds wins, then the person with the fewest cards, and finally the lottery.
Eligibility
All Saudi and non-Saudi players and newcomers (except for the Most Promising Player Award, which will be for Saudi players or newcomers born in 2002 and above) are eligible to be nominated. The player must not be subject to a disciplinary suspension from the Disciplinary and Ethics Committee.
If a penalty is imposed, 5 points will be deducted from the candidate’s total points.
Incentives
Winners will receive a Priority Shield for the month presented by the Association or one of its sponsors.
