Among her controversial predictions was that “there is a plane that will take over the world and no one will survive it in the first month of‍ this year, and ‍the media will be shocked to know the circumstances and causes of the world’s collapse. Al-Azhar al-Sharif’s Response to Astrologers’ Predictions

Early⁣ last year,⁢ and at a time when Egypt and other Arab countries celebrated the advent of the New Year, the names of “astrologers”,⁤ including Lebanese fortuneteller Laila Abdel Latif, appeared on social media platforms ⁣after they spoke about their expectations for the new⁣ year, and some of her predictions of political ⁢and economic events and horoscopes will be controversial as usual.

According to Al Jazeera Network reports at the time, although some fortune tellers ‌and astrologers were used to appearing on television and ‍being broadcast in the media in the most famous programs, they faced an unprecedented campaign ‌especially in⁢ Egypt in early 2023, launched by experts in space and astronomy and religious institutions.

Al-Azhar al-Sharif: Debunking the Myth

At the time, Al-Azhar International Fatwa Center settled the controversy and stated that what it described as “myths of astrologers and fortune-tellers” and propagated them⁢ were delusions of mind that Islam emancipated and valued.

Al-Azhar Center⁢ said⁣ through its account on social networking site ‍Facebook that it is “forbidden to ask about the unseen⁢ while welcoming the New Year,” and sent⁤ a message saying, “Do not hope for reason. The need to accept it, and invest in it. Don’t seriously associate‍ good and evil with time.”

Al-Azhar International Center for‍ Fatwa‌ says: “Between saying goodbye to the last year and welcoming the new year… there are 5 meanings that require contemplation, ‍the first of which is: None⁢ knows the Unseen except God, the Exalted. His, and claiming to know is disputing with him what he himself thinks, ‌and paying attention ⁣to ⁣the myths of astrologers and fortune‍ tellers and propagating them is confusing the mind that he praises Islam and asks them about the unseen.” When⁢ welcoming the New ‍Year. It is forbidden to inform.”

He continued: “Last year’s Lord is next year’s Lord, Glory be to Him, so don’t pin your hopes on the need to accept⁢ it, and don’t associate good and bad with time. The ⁤importance⁤ of investing in it, and‌ the cause of the cause and being connected to the Lord of the Lord. Be, he is⁣ holy.”

He added: “Do not curse the time, or avenge the past, and do not ⁤forget that the past year was full of God’s protection, goodness and grace, and remember the blessing of your Lord upon you, for it is to last and be a blessing to you. Chances are high.”

The center said through its account: “Our Lord, the⁣ Messenger of God,‌ may ⁤God bless him and ‌grant him peace, think well of his Lord, may He be glorified, forbid pessimism and welcome good wishes well from⁣ evil and from the Merciful and Generous Lord. Hope of goodness, glory to him.

He added: ⁢”The passing of days and years ⁤reminds a person of the value⁣ of his life and the importance of investing his time, which is ⁣his capital and the‍ basis of his success and⁤ survival.”
