Allegations of Rape and Sexual Harassment at Harrods
Journalist Amr Adeeb has spoken out about the tarnished reputation of late London billionaire Mohammed al-Fayed, following allegations of rape and sexual assault made by several former female employees of the luxury Harrods store in London.
During his “Al-Hekaya” program on the MBC Egyptian satellite channel, Adeeb revealed that an investigation has been launched into allegations of sexual harassment against more than 20 girls who worked at Harrods, who reported the incidents to the British Department of Justice.
Adeeb questioned the necessity of the alleged actions, asking if the former owner of the British Crown Jewel, Harrods, needed to resort to such behavior.
Harrods has since apologized for the allegations, stating that they are “absolutely appalled” by the claims made against their former owner, businessman Mohammed Al-Fayed.
Al-Fayed, who passed away last year at the age of 94, was accused of engaging in a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old girl when he was 79, according to an in-depth investigation conducted by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).
