Established in November 2022, the Zhongwang Foundation has been at the center of controversy, with many questioning its true purpose and connections to influential figures.
Media personality Yao Huizhen revealed the financial flow of the Zhongwang Foundation, sparking a wave of inquiries into the organization’s dealings. Commentators have pointed out that the foundation’s chairman, Li Wenzong, has a close relationship with his sister, Li Wenjuan, who is in charge of public relations at Muke.
Taipei City Councilor Jian Shupei noted that the Zhongwang Foundation and Muke Public Relations were established in the same year, raising suspicions about their connections. “The Zhongwang Foundation and Muke Public Relations were established in the same year, and they are actually set up in almost the same place and run by the same group of people,” Jian Shupei said.
Ke Wenzhe’s office is located on the third floor of Taibo, while Muke Public Relations and the Zhongwang Foundation are situated on the ground floor. Jian Shupei questioned the timing of the foundation’s establishment, noting that the Beijing Municipal Government issued the Jinghua City construction license on October 18, 2022, just a month before the foundation was laid.
Li Wenzong serves as the chairman of the Zhongwang Foundation, while four directors have served in the Ke Municipal Government, including former legislator Cai Biru, Shi Mingzhu, and Zheng Rongcheng. This has led to speculation about the foundation’s true purpose and connections to influential figures.
Political commentator Yu Liangliang questioned whether the Zhongwang Foundation and Muke Public Relations are actually “Ke Wenzhe’s little treasure.” He pointed out that Ke Wenzhe has been in full control of the foundation and has been using it to further his own interests.
Chen Zhihan, director of the Legislative Yuan People’s Caucus, denied any connection between the foundation and the party organization. However, this has not quelled speculation about the foundation’s true purpose and connections to influential figures.
