National Day Key Visual Sparks Discussion
The key visual of National Day sparked discussion. The Kuomintang even claimed that “the Republic of China is back” as it honors the system. The celebration preparation committee, ”the Republic of Taiwan is the consensus of all, and there will be no return” problem of return, since Taiwan is a sovereign and independent country, it will not change.
Kaohsiung Mayor Chen Chi-mai was asked about the main visual of the National Day in the Republic of China during a joint interview before attending the opening ceremony of the “SAP Kaohsiung ESG and AI Research and Innovation Center” this morning. He stated that there is no doubt whether everyone agreed on it.
The media asked, ”Do you think the main scene of this National Day was handsome?” Chen Chi-mai replied that as a sovereign and independent country, Taiwan’s name is not the same as the Republic of China.
The National Day Preparatory Committee announced the main visual for the 113th National Day, highlighting the symbolic significance of the Republic of China. However, some critics argue that the design is outdated and lacks creativity.
Former Kaohsiung city cultural director, Yin Li, one of the initiators of the Korean strike, expressed his disappointment on Facebook, stating that the design is a combination of the stems of six red wine glasses. He believes that the main visual designer of this year’s National Day remains anonymous, and it is unclear whether Hangu Yu himself made it using six red wine glass bases.
Yin Li also mentioned that in the past, former President Tsai Ing-wen retained the Double Ten format but used design techniques full of experimentation, dynamic imagery, and creative expression to manage the visuals of the National Day. He integrated Taiwan with extended design concepts in the spirit of the new era, in line with international standards, and invited many well-known designers to design the original visuals for the National Day.
