2024 Beijing Cultural Forum Opens with ⁣”Ten Major Events for⁢ the Construction of the National Cultural Center ‌in 2023″ Announcement

The 2024 Beijing Cultural Forum opened grandly on ‌September 19, with ⁢over ⁣800 Chinese and foreign guests in attendance, including heads of central and local⁣ propaganda and cultural units, international dignitaries, heads of international institutions in the fields of culture and science and technology, well-known experts, scholars, writers, artists, and industry leaders ⁣from home and⁤ abroad.

The 2024 Beijing Cultural Forum⁣ is‌ co-hosted by the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee and the Beijing Municipal Committee and Municipal Government. With “Inheritance, Innovation‍ and Mutual Learning” as⁢ its​ permanent theme and “Deepening Cultural ‍Exchanges and Achieving Common Progress” as its annual theme, the forum is an important ‍platform for deeply implementing the Global Civilization Initiative, promoting exchanges and mutual learning between Chinese and foreign civilizations, ‍and enhancing the influence of Chinese culture.

The forum lasts for 3 days, including the opening ceremony and⁢ main forum, ​6 parallel ‍forums, more than 30 professional salons and related cultural activities for the benefit of​ the people.

At ‍the opening ceremony and the main forum, important Chinese and foreign guests delivered speeches on topics⁣ such as strengthening cultural confidence, inheriting and promoting excellent traditional culture, and deepening exchanges and mutual learning⁢ among civilizations. At the same time, the highly anticipated “Ten Major Events in the Construction of ‍the National Cultural⁣ Center in​ 2023” were ‌officially ⁢released, namely:

• The new Beijing Workers’ Stadium has a new look
• The Badaling Night Great ⁤Wall ​is open⁤ for the first time during ⁣the Spring Festival

The “Ten Major Events in the Construction of the National Cultural Center in 2023″⁢ is a selection activity jointly initiated by the Beijing Leading Group Office for Promoting the Construction of the National Cultural Center, the Beijing Municipal Party Committee Propaganda Department and Xinhuanet. On August 6, the online voting⁣ for​ the ​selection activity was officially launched.

Duan Xiaoming, director of the Hunan Museum, will release the results of “The Art of Life-Mawangdui ⁤Han Dynasty Culture Immersive Digital Exhibition” at the parallel forum “Cultural⁤ Heritage: Systematic Protection and Living Inheritance” held on September 20.

The Hunan Provincial Animation and ‍Game Association ‌will launch a strategic cooperation platform ceremony for ⁤the animation and game industry in ten provinces and cities with Beijing, Hebei, Liaoning, Shanghai, Shandong, Henan, Guangdong, Hainan, Shaanxi and other provinces at the parallel forum “Cultural Empowerment: Spiritual Life ‍and Industrial Development” held on September 20.
