Today, Friday, September 6, marks the birth anniversary of the renowned artist Raja Al-Jeddawi, who left an indelible mark on the world of art. His legacy continues to inspire and captivate audiences with its elegance and beauty. Coincidentally, this day also commemorates the birth anniversary of the late artist Fouad Al-Muhandis, with whom Raja Al-Jeddawi collaborated on numerous projects.
Country of Hypocrisy Series
The series “Hypocrisy” (1975) was the first artistic collaboration between Raja Al-Jeddawi and Fuad Al-Muhandis. Adapted from Yusef Al-Sibai’s novel of the same name, the series stars Fuad Al-Muhandis, Safia Al-Omari, and Raja Al-Jeddawi.
The series revolves around Hamed, an ordinary employee struggling to cope with his daily life, including his wife, children, and oppressive manager. He resorts to taking special drugs to gain an advantage over his boss, ultimately leading to his promotion and renunciation of his principles.
Al-Bayah Al-Bawab Movie

Their second collaboration was the film “Al-Bayah Al-Bawab” (1987), starring Ahmed Zaki. The movie tells the story of Abdul Sami, a young man who leaves his village for Cairo in search of employment. He eventually becomes a janitor in a building and, through his intelligence, rises to become a successful broker.
The film features an ensemble cast, including Ahmed Zaki, Safia Al-Omari, Fuad Al-Muhandis, Raja Al-Jeddawi, Fath Sukkar, and other notable artists.
Fawazir, Uncle Fuad
Raja Al-Jeddawi’s third collaboration with Fuad Al-Muhandis was Fawazi’s “Uncle Fuad” (1993), which achieved massive public success during its Ramadan broadcast.
Thank You for Your Series of Efforts

The last collaboration between Raja Al-Jeddawi and Fuad Al-Muhandis was the series “Thank You for Your Series of Efforts” (1998). The series revolves around Abdul Hamid, an employee whose neighbor, Firdaus, attempts to acquire his apartment. A series of comedic events unfolds as Abdul Hamid navigates this situation.
The series features a talented cast, including Fouad Al-Muhandis, Raja Al-Jeddawi, Laila Taher, Khairiya Ahmed, Mimi Jamal, and Ahmed Halawa, under the direction of Hassan Hafez.
