Frontier Literature 2024 Novel Revision Class Held in Shangri-La
The 2024 Novel Revision Class of “Frontier Literature” was recently held in Shangri-La City, Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, bringing together over 40 writers from across the province.
Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture boasts rich tourism resources, profound ethnic cultural heritage, and relevant cultural and tourism preferential policies. During their stay in Diqing, writers can let their imaginations soar, putting their passion into writing, singing the main theme, and conveying positive energy with vivid words.
From September 11th to 14th, the manuscript revision class was divided into 4 groups according to the students’ manual. Xu Haiyu, editor of “National Literature” magazine, Li Chao, editor of “Mountain Flowers” magazine, Yi Qinghua, editor-in-chief of “Hunan Literature” magazine, and Qiang Renliu, editor of ”Sichuan Literature” magazine served as instructors, providing face-to-face professional guidance to the students and offering specific guidance opinions according to the different problems of different students.
As a pure literature journal supervised by the Yunnan Federation of Literary and Art Circles and sponsored by the Yunnan Writers Association, Frontier Literature is the only provincial-level literary journal in Yunnan Province. The magazine takes “frontier writers’ highland, ethnic literature home” as its publishing concept, committed to discovering, cultivating, and supporting local writers in Yunnan, especially local ethnic minority authors and grassroots authors.
This novel revision class aims to enable the majority of novelists in the province to establish a people-centered creative orientation, provide emotional power for the new era through the unique form of novel creation, cultivate new forces in ethnic literature, build a learning and exchange platform for ethnic literature creation, promote the high-quality development of Yunnan novel creation, and tell the Yunnan chapter of the Chinese story well.
