The commemorative first production
Bentley has announced that production of the first of the new fourth-generation Continental GT was completed on what would have been founder Walter Owen Bentley’s 136th birthday (September 16th).
The first car, finished in Tourmaline Green exterior and Gravity Gray and Mandarin interior, is said to be the same specifications as the vehicle that set the unofficial “world’s fastest record in an undersea tunnel” of 335 km/h.
This first car will be used as a UK press vehicle before being preserved permanently in Bentley’s Heritage Collection, which consists of 45 special models representing each era in Bentley’s 105-year history, ranging from the world’s oldest Bentley, the 1919 3-litre EXP2, to the new 2024 Continental GT Speed.
The new model achieves outstanding performance thanks to the new “Ultra Performance Hybrid” powertrain, which boasts a maximum output of 782ps and a maximum torque of 101.97kg-m.
The 4L V8 engine and 190ps electric motor work together to accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in just 3.2 seconds, and the electric driving range is 81km on the EU drive cycle, with a total range of 859km.It is a practical supercar that blends into your lifestyle while offering comfort and luxury in any situation.
