Dr. Tariq Sada, head of the Syndicate of Journalists, has revealed that journalist Yasmin Al-Khatib, the presenter of the ”Tea with Jasmine” program broadcast by the Syndicate on Al-Nahar channel, is not a member of the Media Syndicate.
However, she is allowed to practice her profession. Sada noted that her recent discussions on the program “Tea with Jasmine” were totally incompatible with the media honor code.
A punishment for Yasmin Al-Khatib has been determined by the competent investigative authority, the Supreme Council of Media Regulation.
Controversy Surrounding Yasmin Al-Khatib’s Program
Media personality, Yasmin Al-Khatib, hosted blogger Hadir Abdel Razek on her program, which sparked a controversy. As a result, Al-Nahar Channel Network apologized to its viewers for showing the episode and decided to delete it from all its social media platforms.
