Millions of students in basic education recently returned to school after a break. They enjoyed a holiday on Monday, November 18, for the Mexican Revolution. Students will also have two long weekends in November and the upcoming December break.
According to the official calendar from the Secretariat of Public Education (SEP), students in preschool, primary, and secondary levels will have several breaks.
Upcoming Breaks:

Friday, November 22: This day is a school break for teachers to register student grades.
- Friday, November 29: No classes will be held due to an ordinary session of the Technical School Council (CTE), where teachers meet to discuss school-related topics.
In addition to these long weekends, students will enjoy the winter vacation from Thursday, December 19, to Friday, January 3, 2025. They will return to classes on Thursday, January 9, after two special workshops for teachers from January 6 to 8. Students will have the opportunity to celebrate the Day of Kings (January 6) at home, enjoying their gifts and toys.
In January, there will be another school break on Friday, January 31, for the CTE meeting. The SEP sets the school year with 190 days of classes, which will end on July 16, 2025.
