Kerluherne, France – A new bar, Ur Banne Kafé, has opened its doors in Kerluherne, bringing a fresh, multicultural vibe to the neighborhood. Replacing the former pub Gwened, Ur Banne kafé, a playful name combining the Breton “un verre” (a drink) with the English “urban,” offers a unique blend of sporty and elegant atmospheres.

The downstairs area is geared towards sports enthusiasts, with big screens for games and a lively atmosphere. Upstairs, a more relaxed, zen-like lounge provides a space to unwind, complete with a games room featuring darts and foosball. Owners Patrice and Véronique, along with their bartender Henri, envision the bar as a meeting point for peopel from all walks of life.

“We want to create a space where everyone feels welcome and can connect,” says Patrice. “We’re excited to host a variety of events and activities that cater to different interests.”

True to their vision, Ur Banne Kafé has already begun hosting a diverse range of events. Every Wednesday at 4 p.m., children are treated to captivating storytelling and musical performances. Recently, Hocine Hadjali and Marie Naud delighted young audiences with their enchanting show “Nom d’une poule,” which will return monthly.

Music lovers can enjoy a lively jazz jam session every Tuesday evening from 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Live concerts are also scheduled for one Friday each month, featuring a mix of genres. Rock band Extrasystoles will take the stage on January 29th at 9:30 p.m.,followed by the jazzy sounds of Poinciania on February 26th.

For those who love to belt out their favorite tunes, karaoke night takes place on one Thursday evening per month, with the next session scheduled for February 18th.

Beyond entertainment, ur Banne Kafé is also available for private events such as birthday parties, professional gatherings, and farewell celebrations. The owners are open to hosting art exhibitions and workshops, including pottery, music, and drawing.

Tasty food is also on the menu, with lunch and dinner options ranging from couscous and pot-au-feu to a variety of crumbles. A daily special is available for 8.50 euros,and a complete menu with an appetizer,main course,and dessert is priced at 12.50 euros.
