Washington 2-7 (KUNA) – The American CBS network reported on Tuesday night, quoting White House spokeswoman Anna Kelly, that the United States has stopped sending some weapons to its ally Ukraine, which has been fighting a war with Russia since February 2022.
“The decision was taken to put America’s interests in the first place after a review by the Ministry of Defense for the military support provided by our country to other countries in the world,” Kelly said in a statement reported by the American Network.
“The power of the American armed forces is still not suspicious – just ask Iran,” Kelly added, referring to Washington’s strikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities last month.
The United States has provided Ukraine with military aid worth tens of billions of dollars since the beginning of the war, but the momentum of American military support has begun to decline since President Donald Trump returned to power and his continued endeavors to end the war.
