Leaders from the United States and Iran are traveling to Pakistan for negotiations to resolve major diplomatic and security differences while a two-week cease-fire remains in effect.

A second round of talks was held at the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Rome, Italy, from February 6, 2026, to February 28, 2026.

The third round began on March 30, 2026, in Geneva, Switzerland, and has continued for 12 days leading into the current diplomatic phase.

Diplomatic Delegations and Participants

The United States has deployed a high-level team to manage these negotiations. The delegation includes Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, Director of Policy Planning Michael Anton, CENTCOM commander Brad Cooper, and presidential advisor Jared Kushner.

Representing Iran are Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi, and Ali Larijani of the Supreme National Security Council.
