According to the Mexico City Secretariat​ of Citizen Security, the victim was shot multiple times inside the El​ Bajío restaurant.

“Upon arriving at the ⁣scene‌ and observing the man with visible bloodstains, emergency services were requested. Paramedics who arrived at the scene diagnosed him‌ as deceased from a gunshot wound ‌to the head,” the SSC ​stated.

witnesses reported ⁤seeing two men, one wearing a motorcycle ‍helmet, approach the victim’s‌ table and open fire before fleeing the scene. The victim was ⁢reportedly dining with two men and a⁣ woman, who also fled after the shooting.
