USF’s Georgia Brown Earns USC Scholar All-America Honors
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (December 19, 2024) – University of South Florida women’s soccer star Georgia Brown has been named to the United Soccer Coaches (USC) Scholar all-America second Team, the organization announced thursday.
This marks Brown’s frist USC Scholar All-America honor, capping off a stellar season for the talented midfielder. Earlier this year, she was recognized as a USC All-South Region First Team selection and earned a spot on the All-American Athletic Conference (AAC) First Team. brown also excelled academically, receiving both CSC Academic All-America and CSC Academic All-District honors.
On the field, Brown contributed significantly to the Bulls’ success, finishing the season with 10 points, including four goals and two assists. She delivered standout performances throughout the year, notably scoring a brace in USF’s victory against Jacksonville and netting a last-minute goal against Kansas to secure a crucial draw. Brown’s consistency and stamina were evident as she played the full 90 minutes in 15 matches, including a grueling 110 minutes in the AAC Semifinal.brown’s achievements highlight her dedication to both academic and athletic excellence, making her a role model for aspiring student-athletes.

The 2024 season marks the beginning of the Chris Brown era for the Bulls. Brown, who spent the last 17 seasons as the associate head coach, brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success. Under his guidance, the Bulls have secured three AAC regular season titles, three AAC Tournament titles, and eight NCAA Tournament appearances.
brown has played a pivotal role in developing some of USF’s most accomplished players, including Evelyne Viens, the program’s first all-American and recent USF Athletic Hall of Fame inductee. viens went on to earn three total All-America honors and an Olympic gold medal with the canadian National Team at the 2021 Olympics in Tokyo.
With Brown at the helm, the Bulls are poised for continued success on the national stage.

Georgia Brown: Scoring a brace against Jacksonville was definitely a highlight, and netting the late equalizer against Kansas to secure a crucial draw was also very satisfying. I’m proud of the consistency I brought to the team throughout the season.

Georgia Brown: Time management is key. Being organized and staying on top of my studies allows me to focus on soccer without sacrificing my academics.

Georgia Brown: Personally, I want to continue improving and contributing to the team’s success. As a team,we aim to go even further in the AAC tournament and make a strong run in the NCAA Tournament.
