WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – For just the third time in University of Tennessee at Martin golf history, the Skyhawks landed a trio of All-Ohio Valley Conference honorees as the league released its list of top achievers on April 25, 2026.
Luke Caldwell claimed All-OVC first team status while Drew Williams and Grant Phillips were voted to the All-OVC second team, giving UT Martin three of the 14 spots on the league’s postseason list.
The 2025-26 Skyhawks join the squads from 2020-21 and 2019-20 as the only UT Martin teams to boast three All-OVC performers.
Each first time all-league recipients, the group of Caldwell, Williams and Phillips become the 15th, 16th and 17th Skyhawks to ever nab All-OVC praise.
A senior from Cookeville, Tenn., Caldwell ranks fourth in the OVC with a career-best 71.7 stroke average – 2.4 shots per round better than his previous single-season career low.
He played 17 of his 30 rounds at par or better and delivered 26 countable rounds in the UT Martin scoring lineup – including 15 straight from Oct. 6 through March 14.
The lefty carded a pair of top-five, three top-10 and five top-20 tournament finishes in 2025-26 with his best performance coming at the Loyola Intercollegiate on Feb. 15-17 (runner-up in the 119-man field with a 13-under par score).
That final tally was boosted by back-to-back career-best 66’s in the second and third round, a score he also matched earlier in the season during Round 2 of the SIUE Dolenc Invitational on Sept. 29.
He became only the 11th Skyhawk representative to win multiple OVC Golfer of the Week honors in a single season as he brought home those awards on Oct. 9 and Feb. 19.
Williams has enjoyed a phenomenal sophomore campaign as he ranks fifth in the OVC in scoring average (72.1) – shaving 2.4 strokes off his freshman year average.
