UTSA Roadrunners Face Oklahoma State, Wichita State in Weekend Tennis Action

STILLWATER, OKLAHOMA – The UTSA Roadrunners men’s tennis team will resume competition today, Friday, February 6, 2026, with a match against Oklahoma State at the Greenwood Tennis Center in Stillwater, Oklahoma. The match is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. Central Time. The Roadrunners will then travel to Wichita, Kansas, to face Wichita State on Sunday, February 8.

UTSA enters the weekend with a 0-3 record, having faced Texas A&M, Arizona State, and Grand Canyon earlier in the season. Freshman Constantin Radu and sophomore Ben Chetewy Ungar have been the most successful Roadrunners thus far, each posting a 1-2 record in singles play.

Oklahoma State comes into the match with a 3-2 record. The Cowboys have secured victories over Saint Joseph’s, UTRGV, and Saint Louis at home. They recently suffered narrow 4-3 defeats to Princeton and Yale. Aaron Williams and Haydar Gokpinar lead the Cowboys with undefeated 5-0 records in singles matches. In doubles play, the pairings of Williams and Nicolas Kobelt, and Gokpinar and Alessio Basille, each have four wins.

Wichita State, with a 2-5 record, most recently fell to Texas Tech 4-0. Before facing UTSA on Sunday, the Shockers will compete against Oral Roberts and No. 13 Oklahoma in Oklahoma. Alejandro Jacome currently leads the Shockers with six wins on the season, while Zaid Al Mashni and Pablo Roche Alcaya are 3-2 in doubles competition.

UTSA’s next home match is scheduled for Friday, February 13, against Tulane at 1 p.m. At the UTSA Tennis Center.
