Vaibhav Suryavanshi, the youngest IPL crorepati, drew attention during the U19 Asia Cup match against Pakistan. However, he struggled during the game, scoring just 1 run.
Pakistan batted first and scored 281 runs for the loss of 7 wickets. Their openers, Usman Khan and Shahzaib Khan, collaborated for a strong start, putting together 160 runs for the first wicket. Shahzaib Khan made a remarkable century, showcasing his batting skills.
Suryavanshi was purchased by the Rajasthan Royals for Rs 1.1 crore during the IPL 2025 mega auction in Jeddah. The 13-year-old sparked fierce competition between the Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals, with Rajasthan emerging as the winner in the bidding war.
Born on March 27, 2011, in Bihar, Suryavanshi made his first-class debut for Bihar in January 2024, becoming the youngest player on the IPL roster. He recently impressed teams with a fast 58-ball century against Australia in Chennai.
In his fledgling first-class career, he has played five matches, accumulating 100 runs with a personal best of 41. He is currently participating in the ongoing Ranji Trophy and has also competed in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, making his T20 debut against Rajasthan.
