Valentijne de Vries has spoken publicly about her reaction to the intimate encounter between her brother Casper and fellow contestant Fianca on the Dutch reality show De Bondgenoten. Speaking to LINDA.nl, she described the situation as deeply uncomfortable, particularly because Fianca is in a relationship outside the programme.
Valentijne, who herself was a contestant on De Bondgenoten and left the show at the end of 2025, said she discussed the matter with her parents. She noted that while she understands Casper’s behaviour as typical of a young, single man, she finds it problematic that Fianca is pursuing a connection in the loods while having a partner waiting at home.
“From Casper’s perspective, I find it not neat, but he is single,” Valentijne told LINDA.nl. “But that Fianca does this while her boyfriend is sitting at home on the couch, I find really not done.” She added that earlier in the series, Fianca had developed feelings for another contestant, Ronald, but had not yet informed her off-screen partner about those emotions.
The incident occurred during what began as an ordinary bingo evening but escalated into a night of notable actions, including Casper and Fianca sharing a shower and fellow contestant Ronald spending the night with newcomer Bonnie. Valentijne said she would want to warn her brother about the potential consequences of his actions, though she acknowledged that as a viewer, she finds the drama entertaining.
Her father reportedly refuses to watch the footage and hopes the situation will blow over quickly, while her mother shares Valentijne’s view that the family would prefer to address the matter directly with Casper. Valentijne spent five weeks in the De Bondgenoten loods before her exit, and her brother has now been participating for over four months.
