Valley Health Launches New 15,000-Sq Ft Medical Facility in Strasburg
Valley Health is opening a new medical office building in Strasburg. The facility covers 15,000 square feet and brings together primary care, urgent care, and lab services in one location. This expansion will improve healthcare access for the local community.
The new office is located at 33699 Old Valley Pike. Urgent care and lab services will start today, and primary care will begin on December 9. This new office replaces smaller, separate locations.
Jacob Meza, VP of ambulatory and post-acute services at Valley Health, says the increase in patients has prompted this expansion. “The biggest thing is access to care. We’re making it easy and convenient for people,” he explained. The new facility will offer more space and new staff to better serve the community.
The updated urgent care area now has four exam rooms instead of two. It also features larger rooms for patient comfort and expanded waiting areas with improved lighting and flooring. Kristy Shannon, senior director for urgent care, noted that the growth in patients shows a need for additional space.
A significant new feature is the outpatient laboratory. Patients can complete lab work locally after their appointments. Michael Wilt, manager of lab outreach services, expressed enthusiasm for the new space and capabilities.
