LOS ANGELES – “Vanderpump Rules” star James Kennedy is pledging to make significant changes in his life, including focusing on sobriety, following his arrest on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic violence.Kennedy, 32, broke his silence on tuesday via Instagram, his first public statement as teh December 10th incident. “I am committed to making meaningful changes in my life,” he wrote. “I am taking time to focus on my sobriety, personal growth, adn being present for my loved ones. Navigating challenging moments is not easy, but I am determined to learn, grow, and move forward.”
The arrest stemmed from a report of a domestic dispute at a burbank residence. According to police records, officers responded to a call about a man and woman arguing. A woman at the scene alleged that her boyfriend had lifted and thrown her to the ground. Kennedy was subsequently arrested and released on bail. The Burbank city attorney’s office will determine whether formal charges will be filed.
Kennedy’s girlfriend, Ally Lewber, addressed the situation on her own instagram account on Saturday, stating, “Thank you to everyone who has reached out with love and support and for checking in on me. I’m okay and taking the time I need right now.”
The London-born reality TV star and DJ has been a fixture on Bravo and Peacock’s “Vanderpump Rules” for 10 seasons. The show, which chronicles the lives of employees at Lisa Vanderpump’s upscale restaurants, is set for a reboot with a new cast for its 12th season.
