It is indeed with profound sadness that we share the news of the passing of Vanessa Whyte, her son James Rutledge, and daughter Sara Rutledge, who tragically left us on Wednesday, July 23rd, at their home on Drummeer Road, Maguiresbridge. This devastating loss has deeply touched our community, and we come together to honor their memory and support their grieving loved ones.
A Devoted mother and Beloved Family Members
Vanessa Whyte was a pillar of love and devotion, cherished as a mother, daughter, sister, daughter-in-law, and sister-in-law.Her presence brought warmth and comfort to all who knew her.
James Rutledge, a much-loved son, brother, and grandson to Ernie and Helen Rutledge, was a luminous light in the lives of his family. He was also a cherished nephew to Julie and Richard Hoy, and a dear cousin to Daniel, Matthew, and Emily. His youthful spirit and kindness will be deeply missed.
Sara Rutledge, a dearly loved daughter, sister, and granddaughter of Ernie and Helen rutledge, was a treasured niece to Julie and Richard Hoy, and a cousin to Daniel, Matthew, and Emily. Her memory will be held close by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Funeral Arrangements and Tributes
The community will have the opportunity to pay their respects and offer comfort to the family during the funeral services.
Service of Removal:
A Service of Removal will be held at St. Mary’s Church, Maguiresbridge, Boyhill Road, Maguiresbridge, BT94 4LL, on Wednesday, July 30th, at 11:00 am.
Lying in Repose:
Vanessa, James, and Sara will lie in repose together at The Church Of The Immaculate Conception, Barefield (V95 XA72), on Friday, August 1st, from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
Requiem Mass and Committal:
A private removal will take place on Saturday morning, August 2nd. the Funeral Cortege will arrive at The Church of The immaculate Conception, Barefield, for Requiem Mass at 12:00 noon. Following the Mass, Vanessa, James, and Sara will be laid to rest together in Templemaley Cemetery.
In a touching request from the family, those attending the service of removal and funeral mass are encouraged to wear bright and cheerful colours in memory of Vanessa, James, and Sara. The family has also requested that their house remain strictly private at all times.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Women’s Aid. Vanessa, James, and Sara will be forever loved and remembered by the Rutledge and Whyte families and their many friends. may they rest in peace.
