Max Verstappen’s future with Red Bull Racing beyond 2025 coudl be determined soon. A clause in his contract allows him to leave the team, but it expires at the end of the Austrian Grand Prix weekend. This clause is tied to his standing in the Formula 1 world drivers’ championship.
The four-time world champion currently holds third place. To ensure the exit clause becomes invalid, verstappen needs to maintain a lead of more than 50 points over the fifth-placed driver, currently Charles Leclerc, by the end of the Spanish Grand Prix.
