Vibrant Frames, Uniting Souls: ASEAN Colors Cultural Friendship Day Takes Center Stage with Captivating Photo Exhibition
ASEAN Cultural Colors: A Vibrant Photo Exhibition in Hanoi
The photo exhibition “ASEAN Cultural Colors” is the opening event for a series of activities within the framework of the “ASEAN Cultural Friendship Day” program, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of ASEAN member countries.
The exhibition, held at Doan Mon Square, Thang Long Imperial Citadel, features a stunning collection of images that highlight the beauty and diversity of ASEAN countries, including Laos, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Brunei, Philippines, Myanmar, and Timor-Leste.
Attending the opening ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Ky, Chairman of the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations (HAUFO), and representatives of the Embassies of ASEAN countries in Vietnam.
The photo exhibition is a unique art event that showcases 57 photos, representing the 57th anniversary of ASEAN. The images are arranged on the Lantern Street in the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long, creating a journey to discover the beauty of each country for delegates and visitors.

The exhibition is part of the “Colors of ASEAN” Cultural Friendship Festival program, jointly organized by HAUFO, the Embassy of Laos (ASEAN rotating chair country in 2024), and ASEAN countries in Vietnam.
The event also marked the conclusion and awarding of prizes for the 2024 painting contest “I love Hanoi – City for Peace”, which received nearly 300 entries from Vietnamese and international children aged 5 to 16 years old living and studying in Hanoi.
The contest, held annually, aims to promote love for Hanoi and peace from the perspective of children. The judges praised the paintings for their high aesthetic value, expressing love for Hanoi and peace from a pure and innocent perspective.

The exhibition and contest are part of the celebrations for the 57th anniversary of ASEAN’s founding day, the 79th anniversary of National Day, the 70th anniversary of Capital Liberation Day, and the 25th anniversary of Hanoi being recognized by UNESCO as a “City for Peace”.
