Public Feedback Deadline Extended for Victoria’s 2025 Draft Budget
The City of Victoria has extended the deadline for public feedback on its 2025 Draft Budget to 11:59 p.m. on Friday, December 20.
Every year, the City engages in financial planning to set service levels and approve the budget. Residents are encouraged to share their input on the Draft Budget to assist Council in its decisions.
The proposed budget includes $365.6 million for operating costs and $94.6 million for capital improvements. This funding supports over 200 essential services and programs that benefit Victoria residents and businesses.
Residents can submit feedback through email, mail, or by dropping it off at City Hall. They can also upload a pre-recorded video of up to five minutes.
To date, the budget outreach has involved a random Ipsos telephone survey with 700 residents and community conversations with eight equity-seeking organizations and 86 community members.
All feedback will be presented to Council for review.
