Kampala, Uganda - Victoria University (VU) is partnering with EON Reality to launch a new education model blending artificial intelligence (AI) adn extended reality (XR). The collaboration, announced June 17, aims to transform learning at the university’s campus through EON Reality’s Spatial AI R&D Grant Programme.
The announcement has generated excitement among students. Aisha, a computer science student, said she envisions a future where learning involves real-world simulations. The partnership promises immersive experiences, allowing students to design virtual prototypes and explore digital ecosystems using EON Reality’s XR technology.
At the launch, held at VU’s Business Innovation Hub, Vice-Chancellor Dr.Lawrence muganga emphasized aligning education with Africa’s digital economy. He called the partnership a leap toward preparing youth for a tech-driven world. EON Reality representatives demonstrated students navigating a virtual engineering lab, showcasing the integration of AI-driven analytics and XR environments.
