Tokyo-based see AI is making waves in the generative video landscape with two new initiatives.The company is partnering with Honor to integrate its image-to-video AI technology into the honor 400 Series smartphones.In addition,See AI has secured an intellectual property deal with the 1999 anime,Journey to the West.
See AI aims to usher in a ”smartphone-studio era,” turning everyday devices into AI-driven creative hubs. The Honor 400 series, launched May 28, integrates See AI’s multimodal Image-to-Video AI feature. This allows users to create professional-quality videos directly on their devices.The technology transforms static images into cinematic videos, overcoming previous computational limitations on smartphones through real-time, mobile-optimized processing.
Luo Yihang, CEO at ShengShu Technology, said the partnership with Honor validates the belief that “true innovation thrives.” He added that See AI’s architecture transforms smartphones into “proactive creative partners,” democratizing storytelling.
See AI’s Journey to the West partnership, announced at the company’s Tokyo Global Talents Meetup, allows users to reimagine the Monkey King. The company analyzes user-uploaded photos and applies the anime’s distinct art style to create personalized 16-second video segments. users can select from pre-defined plotlines and scenarios, complete with generated voiceovers and background music.
“For the first time,generative AI isn’t just powering creativity behind the scenes,but it’s becoming a vehicle for ownership,worldbuilding,and reimagining beloved stories,” Yihang said.
