Community Art Competition Celebrates 79th National Day in Russia
A community art competition was held in Moscow, Russia, to commemorate the 79th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day. The event, which took place on September 2, drew the participation of many Vietnamese individuals living and working in the area.
According to Ms. Le Thi Kim Lien, head of the organizing committee, the competition featured solo, duet, and group performances that praised the Party, Uncle Ho, homeland, country, and people. Despite limited space, the event attracted around 30 performances, showcasing the community’s enthusiasm and creativity.
Musician Pham Hong Ha, a member of the jury, emphasized that the competition prioritized community spirit over professional expertise. The event aimed to create an environment where people could come together, exchange ideas, and strengthen community bonds.
A Celebration of Unity and Solidarity
The community art competition served as a platform for the Vietnamese community to express their passion, interests, and patriotism. For many participants, the event was an opportunity to connect with their heritage and showcase their love for their homeland.
Ms. Le Thi Thanh Tam, a first-time participant, shared her experience, highlighting the importance of the competition as a “useful playground” for the Vietnamese community. She emphasized the significance of the event in promoting a healthy living environment and fostering connections among community members.
Celebrating National Day in Tanzania
On September 1, the Vietnamese Embassy in Tanzania held a ceremony to commemorate the 79th National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. The event was attended by officials, staff, and representatives of the Vietnamese community in Tanzania, Burundi, and other countries.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Tanzania Vu Thanh Huyen delivered a speech, highlighting the country’s achievements over the past 79 years. She emphasized the importance of national independence, socialism, and the role of the Party in shaping Vietnam’s history.
Ambassador Vu Thanh Huyen also acknowledged the solidarity activities of the Vietnamese community, expressing her hope that they would continue to promote unity and overcome challenges in their work. She encouraged the community to contribute to promoting Vietnam’s image and reputation internationally.
Representatives of Vietnamese businesses and communities, including Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung and Mr. Phan Truong Son, reaffirmed their commitment to unity and cooperation. They pledged to work together to build a prosperous Vietnam and promote the country’s interests abroad.
The ceremony featured a screening of promotional films about Vietnam’s history, culture, and tourism, as well as a showcase of traditional Vietnamese cuisine. The event concluded with a warm and solemn atmosphere, featuring performances that celebrated the love for Vietnam and its people.
