Vietnamese Students Harvest New Skills in Israel: 39 Complete Prestigious Training Course
Vietnamese Agricultural Trainees Graduate in Israel
On August 29, 39 Vietnamese agricultural trainees attended the graduation ceremony of the short-term training course at the Kfar Silver branch of the Agrostudies Center in Israel.
The Kfar Silver campus, located in southern Israel, about 15 kilometers from the border with the Gaza Strip, presented unique challenges to the students. Despite the difficulties posed by the war in the Gaza Strip, the students persevered, adapting to the situation and continuing their studies.
Mr. Shai Ohayon, Director of Kfar Silver Branch, noted that the branch currently hosts a total of 700 international students. He acknowledged the difficulties faced by students and lecturers during the war in the Gaza Strip, but highlighted the resilience and dedication of the students. Coordinators made efforts to support students, providing regular online consultations and guidance on safety regulations and skills.
Mr. Ohayon expressed his admiration for the Vietnamese students, praising their maturity and friendly personality. He stated, “When the war broke out in Gaza, this was the most difficult time for our center. There were times when we wanted to stop. But it was you who gave us the strength to continue our study program.” He also commended the students’ quietness and deep cultural expression, noting that they are always well-regarded by lecturers and farm owners where they do their internships.
Trainee Nguyen Thi Cam Tu, a student at Vinh University, majoring in Agronomy, shared her experience, saying, “When participating in the trainee program in Israel, in addition to studying at school, I had the opportunity to practice at a farm. I learned a lot of experience and accessed advanced technologies from Israel. Today, I received my graduation certificate. I hope that after returning to Vietnam, I will apply what I have learned to contribute to my own development and to the country’s agriculture.”
In addition to the 39 Vietnamese students, over 400 students from other countries, including Laos, Cambodia, Zambia, Tanzania, and the Philippines, also graduated from the 10-month training and internship course.
