viki Gabor’s Unconventional Christmas Eve Menu: Chicken Over Carp
Polish singer Viki Gabor, known for winning the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2019, revealed she deviates from traditional Christmas Eve fare. While many Polish families partake in a meatless *Wigilia* (Christmas Eve supper) featuring fish, Gabor prefers chicken.
Gabor, who rose to prominence through her participation in “The Voice Kids” and subsequent victory at Junior Eurovision, stated she simply doesn’t enjoy fish or most traditional Christmas dishes. Her mother accommodates this preference by preparing a whole chicken specifically for her.
“I have to eat chicken. I just like to eat meat. If I don’t eat meat for Christmas and I don’t like fish, I will go hungry. So my mom knows she has to make me a whole chicken,” Gabor confessed in an interview with Eska according to Eska.pl.

Carp (karp) is the most common main course, often prepared in various ways – fried, in jelly, or as a soup.
