Zoo Members Gain Access to Gym Classes in November
Virginia Zoo members gain access to classes at The Little Gyms of Chesapeake and Virginia Beach for the entire month of November. The Little Gym provides physical development and enrichment classes for children ranging in age from four months through twelve years.
Families can select one regularly scheduled class and attend that same class each week throughout November, mirroring a traditional monthly membership structure. Members can sign up as many children as are listed on their Zoo Membership, representing a value of $174 per child.
Participants also receive member pricing throughout November on eligible additional purchases, including camps, Parent Survival Nights, and merchandise. Registration opened Tuesday, October 20, by texting ZOO to the appropriate location.
The Little Gym of Virginia Beach is located at 3312 Princess Anne Road, Suite 825, and can be reached at 757-919-4396. The Little Gym of Chesapeake operates at 237 Hanbury Road East and can be contacted at 757-919-4451. Zoo members must present a valid membership card and photo ID to staff.
Opera Patrons Claim Tickets for Pagliacci Performances
Virginia Zoo members may receive up to two complimentary tickets to the Virginia Opera production of Pagliacci. Performances take place at the Harrison Opera House in Norfolk on Friday, November 6, at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, November 8, at 2:30 p.m., as well as at the Dominion Energy Center in Richmond on Friday, November 13, at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, November 15, at 2:30 p.m.
Tickets are subject to availability, with best available seating provided at reservation time. Members could begin reserving tickets Thursday, October 15, by visiting the Virginia Opera Box Office at the Harrison Opera House in Norfolk with a valid membership card and photo ID.
Reservations must be made by 5 p.m. on the Thursday before the selected performance. Box office hours run Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Complimentary tickets cover admission to the performance only and exclude the Pagliacci After Dark post-performance experience.
Little Gym and Opera Members Visit the Virginia Zoo
Little Gym and Virginia Opera members receive complimentary general admission to the Virginia Zoo for the number of individuals covered under their respective memberships. This discount excludes special events, special member-access tickets, and education programs.
On Sunday, November 8, the Virginia Zoo hosts its Sensory Friendly Morning, opening to the public for general admission at 12:30 p.m. Swap participants may begin using their free admission benefits once the facility opens to the public at that time.
Participating gym and opera members also receive a 10 percent discount on purchases at the Zoo Gift Shop and food service locations. Members must present a valid membership card and photo ID to Zoo staff.
Visitors holding Little Gym or Virginia Opera memberships can upgrade to a Virginia Zoo membership through in-person sales and receive two additional months free.
