Credit card giant Visa has extended its significant presence in Formula 1, announcing a multi-year renewal and expansion of its global partnership with Red Bull Racing and its sister team, Racing Bulls. The deepened collaboration will see Visa continue as a major commercial partner for both outfits, bringing enhanced branding opportunities, hospitality benefits, and immersive experiences to fans.
The partnership, initially launched in 2024, has rapidly evolved. In May 2025, Visa notably expanded its involvement with Red Bull Racing by securing prominent front wing branding on the RB21 race cars, debuting at the Monaco Grand Prix. This expansion continues with the renewed agreement, solidifying Visa’s position as a key partner of the UK-based Red Bull Racing team.
Beyond on-car branding, the extended deal encompasses a broader range of benefits. Visa will maintain its title partnership with Visa Cash App Racing Bulls and its commitment to the F1 Academy program. Notably, the partnership will now extend to F1 Academy through the Red Bull Racing Academy Programme, supporting two cars on the grid as the all-female series enters its fourth year.
Christian Horner, Team Principal and Chief Executive of Oracle Red Bull Racing, expressed his satisfaction with the continued collaboration. “Visa has been a fantastic team partner, and we are thrilled to continue our valued partnership in an enhanced capacity from Monaco onwards,” he said. “We are proud of the long-term and trusted partner relationships that we’ve built with some of the world’s largest brands that have become part of our loyal family of partners.”
The renewal also grants Visa exclusive rights within the retail banking category, alongside expanded pass-through rights, further cementing its position within the Red Bull Racing ecosystem. Visa stated the enhanced partnership “unlocks a broader portfolio of premium experiences and an even greater access to the team.”
This announcement arrives ahead of the 2026 Formula 1 season, set to commence on March 8th with the Australian Grand Prix. Red Bull Racing, a six-time F1 Constructors’ Champion, has been actively bolstering its commercial portfolio in recent months. The Visa extension follows a recent long-term global partnership with Damac Properties, a UAE-based real estate developer.
Both Visa and Damac Properties now stand as second-tier global partners alongside established sponsors including Tag Heuer, Rokit, Mobil1, Ford Racing, Carlyle, AT&. T, and Gate.io. Red Bull Racing also recently forged a new multi-year partnership with Clear, a male-oriented hair care brand, demonstrating the team’s continued success in attracting diverse commercial collaborations.
The expansion of the Visa partnership underscores the growing commercial appeal of Red Bull Racing and the broader Formula 1 landscape. The team’s consistent on-track performance, coupled with its expanding global fanbase, continues to attract significant investment from major brands seeking to leverage the sport’s reach and prestige. The commitment to F1 Academy, through the Red Bull Racing Academy Programme, also highlights a shared focus on developing talent and promoting inclusivity within motorsport.
The continued investment from Visa, a global financial leader, provides Red Bull Racing with a stable and valuable partnership as it prepares for the challenges of the 2026 season and beyond. The expanded branding opportunities and experiential offerings will undoubtedly enhance the team’s ability to engage with fans and deliver value to its commercial partners.
