vivo Celebrates Decade of Innovation with Photography Awards
Jakarta, Indonesia – Vivo Indonesia marked a decade of technological innovation with the Imagine Photography Awards 2024, a competition showcasing the power of its Vivo Pro Imaging technology, co-engineered with ZEISS lenses.
the competition, which ran from September 23rd to November 23rd, attracted over 6,800 entries across six categories: portrait, street, series, still life, nature, and night photography. The culmination of the event, featuring the announcement of winners, took place at Live House, M bloc Space, Jakarta, on December 9th.
“Today, we celebrate not only our journey but also look towards the future with excitement and optimism,” said Alexa Tiara, Public Relations Manager for Vivo indonesia.
The Vivo Imagine Photography Awards stemmed from the brand’s philosophy of “Joy in Us,” encouraging individuals to capture, preserve, connect, and celebrate happiness through its technology.”We believe every moment holds a unique story waiting to be shared,” Alexa added. “Through visual language, we aim to provide the best imaging technology while empowering users to become storytellers.”
Each winner from the six categories received a Vivo X100 Pro smartphone. The winners represented diverse backgrounds, including Dian Pratama Putra, a freelance event organizer who won in the Nature category, and M.Aditya Sakti Prabowo, a P3K employee who triumphed in the Series category.
Other winners included Jiehan Herry Saputro (Portrait), Sofyan Efendi (Street and Still Life), and Sisca J. Esperanza (Night).
The competition also featured a special jury prize awarded to Andika Oky Arisandi from Blitar. He received Rp 50 million for his captivating photograph depicting the artistry of Javanese batik. The image showcased a young Javanese woman engrossed in the batik-making process, highlighting the intricate details of the fabric under dramatic lighting.
In line with the “Joy in Us” vision, Vivo announced a collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism Indonesia for the “Marvelous Indonesia” campaign, focusing on portraits of Indonesia.Vendi Risky Kesworo,an entrepreneur from Klaten,was selected for his powerful image blending Indonesian culture and nature. His photograph captured a Javanese puppeteer performing wayang kulit under the dappled sunlight filtering through a bamboo grove. Vendi received a Vivo X100 Pro for his winning entry.
Vivo Indonesia will exhibit the participants’ works at the Vivo Imagine Photo Gallery in the M Bloc Space mural area from December 23rd to 29th. The photographs will also be showcased online through Vivo indonesia’s social media channels and the official website, vivoimagine.id.
