vivo X300 & X300 Pro: 200MP Camera, Dimensity 9500 & Global Launch

vivo has officially launched its latest flagship series, the X300 and X300 Pro, marking the company’s 30th anniversary with a significant leap in mobile imaging and overall performance. The new devices, announced on October 30, 2025, feature substantial upgrades across the board, including a new Dimensity 9500 SoC, advanced camera systems, and the global debut of vivo’s OriginOS.

ZEISS Collaboration and Ultra-Clear Imaging

Central to the X300 series is a renewed focus on imaging, achieved through a continued partnership with ZEISS. Both the X300 and X300 Pro boast 200MP camera systems, but differentiate themselves in their implementation. The X300 Pro features a 200MP ZEISS APO Telephoto Camera utilizing the upgraded Ultra-Sensing Sensor HPB, designed for exceptional clarity. It’s paired with a 50MP ZEISS Gimbal-Grade Main Camera, featuring a large 1/1.28” sensor and industry-leading CIPA 5.5-rated stabilization, promising stable and clear shots even in challenging conditions. The inclusion of vivo’s Pro Imaging Chip VS1 further enhances image processing speed, clarity, and noise reduction.

The standard X300 also incorporates a 200MP ZEISS Main Camera with the Ultra-Sensing Sensor HPB and CIPA 4.5-rated stabilization. It also features a ZEISS APO Telephoto Camera powered by the LYT-602 sensor, offering improved dynamic range and power efficiency. Both models benefit from a 50MP ZEISS Wide-Angle Front Camera with autofocus, ensuring sharp selfies and video calls.

Performance and Efficiency with Dimensity 9500

Powering the X300 series is the MediaTek Dimensity 9500, a chip jointly developed by vivo and MediaTek. Built on TSMC’s N3P process, the Dimensity 9500 features an all-big-core CPU architecture and a fully upgraded 12-core G1-Ultra GPU. Vivo highlights the chip’s efficiency, stating the NPU doubles processing capability while halving power consumption. The integration of vivo’s Imaging Chip V3+ alongside the Dimensity 9500 enables advanced computational photography and cinematic video processing, including 4K 60fps cinematic portrait video.

OriginOS Global Debut

Alongside the hardware, vivo is introducing OriginOS to global markets with the X300 series. Built on Ultra-core Computing, Memory Fusion, and Dual Rendering engines, OriginOS aims to deliver a fluid and intelligent user experience. The new Origin Design System focuses on visual elegance and user-friendliness. Features like Flip Cards, utilizing gyroscope-based interaction for lock screen customization, and Origin Island, offering intelligent suggestions and reminders, demonstrate the OS’s focus on personalization and convenience.

OriginOS also integrates AI tools, including AI One-Shot Multi-Crop for automated composition generation, AI Landscape Master for enhancing outdoor images, and Live Photo Passerby Erase for removing unwanted elements from photos. Integration with Google Gemini further expands the AI capabilities of the platform.

Beyond the core camera hardware, the X300 series introduces several software-driven photography enhancements. Stage Mode 2.0 allows for capturing photos and videos simultaneously during live events, while Dual-View Stage Video enables the use of any two cameras concurrently. The series also supports 4K 60fps Portrait Video with enhanced stability and color reproduction.

vivo has addressed battery anxiety with the BlueVolt Battery System, utilizing fourth-generation silicon anode technology and semi-solid electrolyte materials. The X300 Pro features a 6510 mAh battery, while the X300 offers 6040 mAh, both supporting 90W FlashCharge and wireless charging. Both devices also feature upgraded Global Bypass Charging with intelligent temperature control.

Design-wise, the X300 series features a Unibody 3D Glass Design with a focus on minimalist aesthetics and comfort. The X300 has a 6.31-inch flat display and weighs 190g, while the X300 Pro has a 6.78-inch flat display and measures 7.99mm thick. The devices are available in Phantom Black, with the X300 also offered in Mist Blue and the X300 Pro in Dune Brown.
