Health Kept Mišík From Attending Ceremony
Mišík explained his absence from the awards ceremony was due to health reasons. “From the end of last summer until November, I was in the hospital… I was entirely atrophied,” Mišík said. “I had no muscles, so when they brought me home, I couldn’t even stand up.”
He added that while he is trying to exercise, his age and condition make recovery slow. ”At home, I go with a walker, but maybe I am not able to meet or go out. I just couldn’t give prizes,as I couldn’t stand there for so long.”

He noted some criticism of the evening’s proceedings but took a more relaxed view. “I look at the old American cowards, watch Hollywood big films, read detective stories, so that evening I felt good, and even amused me,” he said. “I took it with such an old ease and I am glad that this year’s handover was cheerful.”

Producer Petr Ostrouchov, upon receiving an award, expressed a desire to record with Mišík. When asked about the possibility, Mišík responded cautiously, “I am without warranty now. I got sick fourteen days after filming the previous album and it is still with me. I do not know what will be taking into account my age and illness.It’s hard for me to prepare somthing forward.”
He acknowledged Ostrouchov’s contribution to his previous album, noting that a hand injury prevented him from playing, leading him to focus on writing lyrics.”When I came to the studio and soaked the atmosphere of recording, in the best meaning of the word it kicked me,” Mišík said.
Mišík stated he has not written any new lyrics since recording the album, though he has some unused material from the past.
Finding Joy in Family
When asked what brings him the most happiness today, Mišík emphasized the importance of family. “The fact that our whole family lives in one house,” he said. “It’s because we were restored by our friend. It allows us to be everyone in their apartment, but often visit, make dinners together, be close. Children come to our apartment so -called security or just talk.I enjoy family peace.”
Due to his health, Mišík has been largely confined to his home for the past six months. “At home I get wherever I need, practice and look forward to being able to go out again, or at least to the restaurant below our house were we meet with neighbors and friends. But now they come to us, so I can’t say I suffer socially,” he concluded.
