VOLZHSKY, Russia – Preschoolers at Kindergarten No. 80 in Volzhsky experienced a hands-on history lesson April 18,as the Museum of Local Lore and the Museum of Memory of Volzhsky War Soldiers presented “Ata-Baty,soldiers went,” an exhibit commemorating the 80th anniversary of Victory in World War II.
Interactive Learning for Young Students
Four preparatory groups participated in a presentation that connected legendary Russian heroes,soldiers from various eras,and the great Patriotic War. Children were able to view and interact with historical artifacts, including a knight’s helmet and shield, a fragment of chain mail, WWII-era weaponry, a medical kit, and military decorations.
Beyond simply viewing the items, the children were encouraged to touch and explore the exhibits after the guided tour.
