Thousands of tourists flocked to VUI-Fest Ha Long upon its opening on April 25, 2026, marking the debut of Sun Group’s latest entertainment complex in Quang Ninh province. Designed as an integrated destination blending entertainment, culinary offerings, and art, the venue officially launched on the evening of April 25 in Bai Chay, Ha Long, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by provincial officials including Mr. Quan Minh Cuong, Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee.
The complex, themed around a “prosperous trading port,” aims to recreate Ha Long’s historic trading spirit in a contemporary setting where local culture meets modern experiences. Mr. Nguyen Xuan Chien, Vice Chairman and General Director of Sun Group in the Northern region, described VUI-Fest Ha Long as a strategic tourism product within the group’s broader ecosystem in Quang Ninh, intended to create a vibrant, year-round festival and entertainment space that encourages longer tourist stays and increased spending.
A highlight of the opening night was a spectacular fireworks display over Ha Long Bay, followed by plans for ongoing programming including the 3D Mapping show “Long Van Khanh Hoi,” a light art performance at the lighthouse area that uses modern technology to narrate the heritage land’s story. Sun Group intends to continuously refresh the experience through supplementary activities, positioning VUI-Fest Ha Long as a dynamic cultural highlight along the heritage bay.
Located on Bai Chay beach in a prime coastal area, VUI-Fest Ha Long builds on the model introduced earlier in June 2025 as Vietnam’s first commercial–culinary–night entertainment complex following the “entertainment night market” format in the Ha Long Bay heritage region. The venue offers visitors opportunities to enjoy local seafood, shop for unique souvenirs, explore street art, and access modern entertainment facilities such as game areas, beachfront bars, and children’s play zones.
By integrating dining, shopping, and live entertainment in a beachfront setting enhanced by sea breezes and scenic views, VUI-Fest Ha Long supports broader goals of promoting night tourism in Quang Ninh, extending visitor experience times, and boosting local economic engagement through cultural and recreational offerings.
