Crawfordsville, IN -⁤ For the second time in three days, Wabash College athletics‍ teams have delivered a decisive‍ victory over⁢ DePauw University. Following the basketball team’s 74-48 win earlier this week, the Little Giants swimming and diving team cruised to a 194-100 victory over the Tigers Friday night at the‍ Class of 1950 ⁣Natatorium.

The Little Giants set the tone early, wiht the ⁤quartet of Ryan West, Quinn Sweeney, Brody Page, and Ethan Johns taking first place in the 200-yard medley relay with ⁢a time ⁣of 1:36.09. Wabash’s “B” team, consisting of Nicholas Plumb, justice Wenz, connor Craig,⁣ and Daniel Streeter, secured a third-place finish in the event.West continued his dominance throughout the meet, claiming individual victories in both the 100-yard and 200-yard backstroke events. His time of 53.34 in the 100-yard backstroke was good ⁣enough for first place, with teammates Nicholas Sommers (54.73) and Barret smith (56.11) rounding out ‍the top three spots.

“It was a great team effort tonight,” said West.”we came in focused and ready ‍to compete, and it showed in the results.”

The⁢ Little Giants’ depth was on full display throughout the meet,with multiple swimmers contributing to the team’s remarkable point total.

Crawfordsville, IN – The⁢ Wabash college swimming and⁢ diving team made⁤ a splash in their season opener, securing a decisive victory over visiting DePauw‍ University. The Little Giants showcased ⁢their depth and talent, ⁢racking up wins ⁣across multiple⁢ events and setting the stage for‍ a promising season.

Senior standout Ethan West lead the charge, claiming three individual victories. ‍He dominated the⁤ 100-yard backstroke with ‍a time of 52.94, followed by a commanding ⁢win in the 200-yard backstroke ⁢at ⁢1:55.47. west capped off his impressive performance with ⁣a victory in the 200-yard individual medley, touching the wall in 2:01.28.

Mason Gilliam made a⁤ strong ⁣showing,winning both the 1000-yard ⁣freestyle (10:05.39) and the 500-yard freestyle ⁢(4:55.56). Xander Straw provided consistent support, finishing second in both events.

The Little Giants also⁣ excelled in the ⁢diving competition.⁤ keane albright took first place in the ⁣one-meter dive with⁢ a score of 210.30, while Alexander arruza claimed victory in the three-meter dive, accumulating 220.35 points.Wabash ‍closed out the meet⁤ with a‍ strong showing⁤ in the 400-yard freestyle relay, securing ‍second place with a combined time⁣ of 3:11.29.

The Little Giants will now head into‍ their annual winter break training trip, aiming to build on their early season‍ success.
