Crawfordsville, IN - For the second time in three days, Wabash College athletics teams have delivered a decisive victory over DePauw University. Following the basketball team’s 74-48 win earlier this week, the Little Giants swimming and diving team cruised to a 194-100 victory over the Tigers Friday night at the Class of 1950 Natatorium.
The Little Giants set the tone early, wiht the quartet of Ryan West, Quinn Sweeney, Brody Page, and Ethan Johns taking first place in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:36.09. Wabash’s “B” team, consisting of Nicholas Plumb, justice Wenz, connor Craig, and Daniel Streeter, secured a third-place finish in the event.West continued his dominance throughout the meet, claiming individual victories in both the 100-yard and 200-yard backstroke events. His time of 53.34 in the 100-yard backstroke was good enough for first place, with teammates Nicholas Sommers (54.73) and Barret smith (56.11) rounding out the top three spots.

The Little Giants also excelled in the diving competition. keane albright took first place in the one-meter dive with a score of 210.30, while Alexander arruza claimed victory in the three-meter dive, accumulating 220.35 points.Wabash closed out the meet with a strong showing in the 400-yard freestyle relay, securing second place with a combined time of 3:11.29.
The Little Giants will now head into their annual winter break training trip, aiming to build on their early season success.
