Wallace & Gromit Illuminate Battersea Power Station with Holiday Magic
This holiday season, Wallace & Gromit brighten up Battersea Power Station in London. From now until New Year’s Eve, two Christmas trees will shine on the wash towers of this iconic landmark. Visitors will watch as Wallace and Gromit decorate the giant trees, even as Feathers McGraw, the mischievous character, causes a bit of trouble.
Aardman has used the iPhone 16 Pro Max to create a short animation featuring the towering 101-meter-high chimneys above the River Thames. The iPhone was set on motorized heads to capture two angles of the Christmas trees, resulting in a total of 6,000 frames. Eight iPhones with a 5x Telephoto camera took high-resolution images in ProRAW. These images were combined frame by frame to produce a stunning 6K video.
Greg Joswiak, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing, expressed excitement about the project. He said, “Wallace & Gromit are a much-loved and iconic duo. We’re delighted they are lighting up Battersea Power Station.”
