Walmart’s unannounced Onn 4K Pro (2026) streaming box has begun appearing on store shelves in California ahead of its official launch. The device is positioned as a budget-friendly competitor to the Google TV Streamer, retailing for approximately $60.
The device was discovered by consumers at Walmart locations, including one in Ventura, California, where it was sold for $59.88. While Walmart has not yet formally announced the product, the hardware has already been spotted in the wild, following the earlier appearance of a separate Onn 4K Streaming Stick (2026) on April 7, 2026.
Hardware Specifications and Technical Details
The Onn 4K Pro (2026) features a fabric-clad design and includes several updated hardware specifications. According to packaging details, the box is equipped with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. For processing, it utilizes a quad-core Cortex-A55 chip with an ARM G310 V2 GPU, which indicates the use of an Amlogic S905X5M chipset.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6 and a physical Ethernet port, although the Ethernet port remains limited to 100MBps speeds. The device also transitions to a USB-C port for power, replacing the barrel plug used in the previous generation.
The rear I/O includes an HDMI port and a USB-A port. However, the USB-A port has been downgraded from USB 3.0 in the previous model to USB 2.0. This change may impact users who rely on the port for playing local media from external USB devices due to the slower data transfer speeds.
Software Features and Smart Home Integration
The streaming box runs Google TV and comes with Gemini, Google’s AI, preinstalled. The device supports hands-free voice control and includes a Find My Remote function to help users locate misplaced controllers.
In terms of audiovisual capabilities, the Onn 4K Pro (2026) supports both Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. It also introduces Matter over Thread compatibility, allowing it to function as part of a broader smart home ecosystem using the Matter standard for device interoperability.
Market Positioning and Competition
At a price point of $60, the Onn 4K Pro (2026) represents a price increase of approximately $10 over the prior model. Despite the hike, it remains significantly cheaper than the Google TV Streamer it aims to rival.

When compared to the Google TV Streamer, the Onn 4K Pro (2026) is slightly underpowered in terms of memory, offering 3GB of RAM compared to the 4GB found in Google’s device, though both share the same 32GB of storage capacity.
The release of the Pro box follows the appearance of the Onn 4K Streaming Stick (2026). That more affordable model is priced around $30 and features a quad-core Cortex-A55, 4K support, and Dolby Atmos. Unlike the Pro box, the stick does not support Dolby Vision.
The early availability of these devices in stores suggests a formal launch is imminent, though Walmart has yet to provide an official release date or marketing campaign for the 2026 lineup.
