World of Warcraft’s ‘War Within’ Expansion Pack Causes a Stir
Blizzard Entertainment’s ‘World of Warcraft (WoW)’ has released its new expansion pack, ‘War Within’, causing a huge stir among gamers. The game, which underwent a large-scale update on the 27th of last month, is showing a significant increase in popularity, recording a 1.29% PC room occupancy rate.
According to PC room statistics company The Log, ‘WoW: Civil War’ ranked in the top 10 with a PC room occupancy rate of 1.29%. This is a significant increase from the 0.61% occupancy rate before the expansion pack was released. The expansion pack unfolds a story that encapsulates the past 20 years and introduces various new regions, including the ‘Isle of Dorne’, a new region located off the southwestern coast of Kalimdor.
In the ‘War Within’ expansion pack, players will travel to the ’Isle of Dorne’ and form a raid to fight against the Nerubian Queen ‘Ansurek’ who has been deceived by the void herald ‘Xal’atath’. The expansion pack also includes various elements that enhance the game experience of players, such as improved convenience, micro dungeons, and new allied races.
Players can experience various contents and convenient elements, including the micro dungeon ‘Gullyunge’ that satisfies various players from solo to party, ‘Hero Trait’ that provides the power of legendary heroes, ‘Earthling’, a new allied race made of living stone, and ‘Battle Unit’ that connects the gameplay elements of all characters belonging to the player’s account.
‘WoW: War Within’ has attracted the attention of fans around the world even before the expansion pack was released. Blizzard announced that this expansion pack is a commemorative pack for the 20th anniversary of ‘WoW’ service and that it will present a story that compiles the narrative of the past, stimulating nostalgia among existing players.
The expansion pack has also been reported to have succeeded in bringing back players who had quit the game and has even attracted new players, bringing in more initial players than when the previous expansion pack, ‘Dragon Legion’, was launched.
