Warm ‍Weather and Clear Skies Across South Korea, Large Temperature Swings expected

South Korea is set to ⁣experience warm and mostly clear weather ‍on Friday,⁣ April 11, 2025, with daytime temperatures expected to climb above 20 degrees Celsius nationwide.

Temperature Variations and Regional Forecasts

According‍ to the Korea ‍Meteorological ⁢Governance, morning lows will range from 4 to 11 ⁢degrees Celsius, ⁤while daytime highs are forecast to reach between 17 and⁤ 25 degrees Celsius.⁤ This temperature range is similar to or slightly ‍warmer than the average ‍for this time of year. A important daily temperature range,exceeding 20 degrees ‍Celsius in some areas,is anticipated.

Here’s a look at the expected temperatures in major‍ cities:

  • Seoul:⁤ Low of 8 degrees Celsius, High of 24 ⁢degrees Celsius
  • Incheon: High of 19 degrees⁤ Celsius
  • Suwon: ‍Low of 6 degrees⁢ Celsius, High of⁢ 23 degrees Celsius
  • seongnam: ⁤Low of 7‍ degrees Celsius, High of 24 degrees⁢ Celsius
  • Yongin: Low of 5 degrees ⁣Celsius

Dry Conditions and Fire Weather Watch

The weather service is also warning of very dry conditions in several⁣ regions, including Daejeon, Chungbuk (specifically Cheongju and Yeongdong), Daegu, and Gyeongbuk (including ⁤Gumi,‍ Chilgok, ⁤gimcheon, Sangju, Mungyeong, Yecheon,⁢ and Andong). Residents in⁤ these areas ⁣are urged to exercise ⁣caution ⁤to ⁣prevent wildfires.

Air⁤ Quality Concerns

While much of the country will enjoy clear skies, air quality is ‍a concern in the Seoul metropolitan area. Fine dust levels⁤ are expected ⁤to be “bad”⁤ in Seoul, Incheon, and Gyeonggi-do. Other regions ⁣are expected⁢ to experience “normal” air quality.

However, the Korea Meteorological Administration ⁣notes that fine dust‍ concentrations⁢ may temporarily increase ⁢to “bad” levels in the morning and evening in northern Gyeonggi, Chungnam, Daejeon, Sejong, Chungbuk, and Ulsan.

Fog Advisory

Motorists should be aware of potential fog conditions. ‍The weather service⁤ reports that deep fog, with visibility less than 200 meters, is possible in the northwest, Incheon, and along the Gyeonggi-do coast ‍in the morning (around 9:00 a.m.). Other inland areas⁢ may⁤ experience fog with visibility less than 1 kilometer.

The Korea Meteorological ‍Administration advises caution due to the large ⁤daily temperature range, urging people to be careful about traffic accidents and potential health issues related to ‍the temperature fluctuation.
